BPT Morning Seminar 2017

Last Thursday we were once again happy to host our clients and cooperation partners at a morning seminar to discuss the trending topics in commercial real estate. The event took place at Luther Machinery Hall a unique venue in Veerenni district that just recently opened its doors.

The opening panel discussed the pros and cons of an activity-based office. The participants of the panel were Mari-Liis Vihul from Telia Eesti who shared Telia’s experience after a period of 6 months working in such environment and Janar Toomesso, Hannelore Kääramees from Arhitekt11 who offered the architect’s viewpoint and gave us a sneak-peak into the thorough process behind the development of Äripäev’s new office. The panel was led by our Country Manager in Estonia, Ülari Niinemägi.

The topic of the second panel was KYC (Know Your Customer) which discussed the liability for the identification of capital origin and the tightening of the rules and fines. The panel was led by Indrek Hääl (BPT Group CEO), he was joined by Lembit Tedder (Cobalt Legal), Kristel Meos (Zenith Family Office) and Ero Viik (Swedbank).

Based on the amount of questions asked and discussion points that were raised, the next time we might have to consider extending the time allocated to each panel .

After a short break, Kushtrim Xhakli from Connected Baltics presented an overview of the latest developments in IoT (Internet of Things) and how IoT solutions can build value in the real estate sector.

We would like to thank all the participants for taking time in their busy schedule to spend this engaging morning with us.  Special thanks go to panel participants who kindly agreed to share their knowledge and insight we could have not done it without you!
